Even though Grand Haven City Council made a decision this week to no longer display the cross or Nativity scene on Dewey Hill, the leader of the “Keep the Grand Haven Cross” group says the fight is not over.
John of Spring Lake asked, “There was an article (several years ago) about Spring Lake Village wanting to change the sign at the Spring Lake Yacht Club indicating the land is public and accessible to the public. Because of an issue with the Ferrysburg sign ordinance, the sign change never happened. What are the rules for the public to access and use that piece of public property? Most people do not know that is public land owned by the Village of Spring Lake.”
