A downtown Grand Haven medical spa has been suddenly closed under a mortgage foreclosure. Macatawa Bank says the owners of Be Medical Spa & Salon, 14 S. Second St., owe just over $1 million on a mortgage taken out in June 2008.

Asa Kelly, a 1996 Grand Haven graduate, is piling up the state titles as a head coach at Benzie Central High School. Kelly guided the Benzie Central girls track team to a Division 3 state title on June 4, and this past Saturday, the Huskies were able to collect more hardware after claiming the title at the Division 3 cross country finals at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn. Kelly coaches the team along with his wife, Traci. The Huskies tallied 126 points as a team, which beat runner-up Kent City by 20.
