Northwest Ottawa County governments received a cut of more than $10 million in delinquent property tax payments distributed by Ottawa County Treasurer Bradley Slagh.
"Even though this dollar amount seems very large, the good news is that - for the third year in a row - the volume of delinquent properties and dollar amounts have continued to decrease,' Slagh said.
Pirates were given the go-ahead to raise their flag over Harbor Island this summer for the fourth annual Michigan Pirate Festival, an event held in conjunction with Loutit District Library.

A plan to hire a new Grand Haven Township building inspector has left some dissention about the township's personnel policy.
On Monday, the Township Board unanimously approved hiring Fruitport resident Jack Byers as a full-time building inspector/plan reviewer/ordinance enforcement officer.
