Spring Lake was well prepared to shut down Grant's base offense. The Lakers were not prepared for the vast bag of trick plays the Tigers unveiled. Grant scored touchdowns on a trio of trick plays and ran several other unconventional offensive sets, giving the Lakers a scare, but Spring Lake's offense did just enough to help the Lakers hold on for a 30-24 win. The victory helps Spring Lake keep pace with Fremont and Fruitport atop the Lakes Eight Conference with 5-1 league records with one week to go.
