After giving up a pair of runs in the top of the 10th inning in a loss to Holt earlier on Saturday, Grand Haven's varsity baseball team bounced back with an impressive 3-2 win over Mona Shores later in the day.

A local Grand Haven manufacturing business specializing in the creation of fixtures will expand thanks to a tax abatement approved by Grand Haven officials. Debbie Ray, co-owner of R&R Sales & Engineering, said she was hopeful to create more jobs as a result of the tax abatement.

Grand Haven's Nathan E. Brown was a pioneering aerial photographer and inventor, but his life ended without much fanfare. It sort of ended with a bang. You see, Nathan grew a bit eccentric in his later years and liked to blow things up to make a point with his adversaries.
