A Grand Rapids-area pilot escaped injury Saturday after he crash landed his plane at Muskegon County Airport.
Norton Shores Fire Department officials said the pilot, Lawrence Post, was doing touch-and-go landings. Fire officials said he got confused after the tower told him to switch runways, and he forgot to put his landing gear down when he landed at the airport about 12:30 p.m.
The plane has extensive damage to its bottom and both propellers from the crash landing.
