At 5 p.m. Saturday, emergency personnel were called to the Holiday Inn, 940 W. Savidge St. in Spring Lake, when a man cut his foot on a propeller. Spring Lake-Ferrysburg police reported the man was taken by ambulance to North Ottawa Community Hospital and the incident was turned over to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol.

Sgt. Keith Koeman said the 20-year-old Lansing man had been swimming by his anchored boat. He was boarding the boat when his foot slipped and hit the propeller. The boat was not running at the time, Koeman said. The man was not seriously injured, he added.

GHDPS went to the boardwalk near the Coast Guard station at 6:39 p.m. Saturday when a 78-year-old Holland woman nearly fainted, Boyle said. She was possibly dehydrated and was taken by ambulance to North Ottawa Community Hospital.

At 8:09 p.m. Saturday, emergency personnel went back to the state park, 1001 S. Harbor Ave., on a report of a 20-year-old male who was unconscious. NOCH paramedics arrived on the scene first and canceled further help, Boyle said. No other information was available.

On Sunday, at 4:24 p.m., emergency personnel went to the state park on a report of a female down in the water. Boyle said she was a 22-year-old Grand Haven resident. No further information was available.
