Snuffer said he has been painting for 11 years using acrylics. Recently, the Muskegon man has been commissioned to create works for the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station North Bend, Ore.; and Coast Guard Law Enforcement Group Hitron in Jacksonville, Fla. He has also been commissioned to create works for the U.S. Air Force.

Military art is not Snuffer’s only topic. He also depicts automobiles and motorcycles.

“I am able to support my family doing what I enjoy doing most — painting,” he said.

A reception in Snuffer’s honor will take place Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Depot location. Visitors will be able to visit with Snuffer, learning more about his artwork and the techniques he utilizes to create military art. Light refreshments will be served. This free program does not require advanced registration.
