Tedd Butler, 46, pleaded guilty Dec. 13 to second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Ottawa County Circuit Judge Edward Post in Grand Haven sentenced Butler on Monday.
The case centers on an assault claim dating back to 2006. At the time, Butler was pastor of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walker.
The assault took place at Butler’s home in Ottawa County’s Tallmadge Township, according to WZZM-TV.
The Ottawa County case led Kent County officials to accuse Butler of molesting a boy as a pastor at the now disbanded Landmark Baptist Church in Algoma Township two decades ago. Butler also has made a plea deal in that case and faces sentencing Jan. 31.
