A Kokomo police officer spotted a suspicious white Ford Taurus in a grocery store parking lot on Thursday. The officer was unaware that the vehicle was stolen from Michigan's Allegan County. He was about to run the vehicle's license plate number on his computer when he was called to another incident.
Authorities believe Kenneth Grauman, 32; and Gregory Bradshaw, 23, were inside the 2000 Ford Taurus — possibly with their girlfriends: Brittany Rector, 17; and Laura Grauman, 29.
Police believe Grauman and Bradshaw stole a silver 2006 GMC pickup truck from a farm near Kokomo on Thursday afternoon. It has an Indiana license plate with registration TC5105 and a Purdue Boilermaker front license plate.
The truck has a large toolbox in the bed and also two rifles with ammunition. Police said the men are considered armed and dangerous.
The U.S. Marshal's Service is offering a $1,500 reward in the case.
