Agencies participating in the effort are in Ottawa, Allegan, Calhoun, Berrien, Chippewa, Genesee, Ingham, Jackson, Kent, Macomb, Marquette, Monroe, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
Last year, officers reported arresting 261 drunken drivers the weekend before Halloween.
