AP Wire • Jul 21, 2015 at 12:18 PM

The Sheriff's Department got word of the theft in Dalton Township on Saturday. The department said someone may have pried open a door on an unattached garage at a cottage.

The only thing reported missing was the Halloween costume, which was listed in a police report as being "expensive." Tools and other items were left behind.

The owners are from Norton Shores and only use the cottage during the summer months.

Authorities said they don't have any suspects.
