Jordan Bradley was first taken by ambulance to North Ottawa Community Hospital after the crash, and then airlifted to the Grand Rapids hospital in critical condition.

Grand Haven school officials would not say whether or not the boy has returned to school, at the request of the boy's family. The family has also declined to be interviewed by the Tribune.

“Anytime we have anybody out for long term due to illness or injury, we have a team that works with the family to get the teen back going again, whether it’s part- or full-time,” Grand Haven High School Principal Tracy Wilson said.

Bradley was riding a Honda CR125 on a dirt path on private property in the 13000 block of 144th Avenue in Robinson Township on Jan. 19, said Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. Bradley collided with another dirt bike being operated by Peter Pierson, 25, also of Grand Haven.

Pierson was seriously injured in the incident. However, he said he wasn’t hospitalized after the crash, but he did have surgery and has mostly recovered from his injuries.
