The Macomb Dakota student is expected to be charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
A teacher at the school in Macomb Township, northeast of Detroit, confiscated caramel corn Tuesday from students because it smelled like marijuana. The 18-year-old produced a medical marijuana card for school officials and told them the caramel corn was "weed edibles."
The student told police that he bought the items for $4 per bag from a medical marijuana dispensary and that he sold them to other students.
