It will have more of a bluish tint, despite the color name, said Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department.

The car is also believed to be a Pontiac Grand Am or Bonneville.

Witnesses were able to get a partial license plate number of CMZ.

Austin said police have some leads, but are looking for more information.

In the meantime, detectives are working with the Secretary of State to match up the vehicle and partial plate.

Fifteen-year-old Drew Johnson suffered a broken leg and scrapes when he was hit by the car around 6 p.m. Sunday on M-104 just west of 144th Avenue.

Johnson was traveling west on his mo-ped when the car abruptly turned and struck him, police said.

An ambulance took the boy to North Ottawa Community Hospital where he had surgery on his leg the next day.

No further information was available on Johnson's condition.

Anyone with information on the car is asked to call Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT.
