Marushka prints came from GH?

Yes, and they still are!
Marushka Prints is tied to Michigan Rag Co. in downtown Grand Haven. The company's owner, Randy Smith, was a student of Richard Sweet when Sweet left his art teacher job in Grand Haven to found Marushka in 1971.
According to reports, nearly 1.7 million of the handmade, silkscreen Marushka prints were sold between
1974 and 1989. The demand for the prints waned in the late 1980s, so Smith and Sweet opened the Michigan Rag Co.
The downtown storefront silkscreen operation closed in 2001 and Sweet died in 2007.
Marushka prints are now put on a line of clothing available at the Michigan Rag store and online (marushkahandprints.com).
