Police are asking for the public's help to identify the driver.

"I was scared, in shock. My main concern was getting him out of there," said the mother, 18-year-old Arieanna Currier.

Currier was with her son, Elijah, 1, at Sam's Drink All in Muskegon to get groceries on June 25. As Currier and her sister walked across the parking lot with Elijah, a man came out of the store and got into a minivan. As he backed up, he hit Currier and her son, who was still strapped into his stroller.

"When I was getting up, I saw my son being dragged with the stroller on the bumper," Currier said.

The driver stopped for a moment before speeding off. It's unclear whether he was waiting for traffic to clear on Getty Street or if he knew he had hit someone.

"I had to undo some straps, and I did them fast because I didn't know if (the van was) going to take off again," Currier said.

Muskegon Police later told Currier that the minivan had been stolen. The identity of the driver is still unknown.

Surveillance cameras inside the store also captured images of the driver.
