Victims sought in Grand Rapids pharmacy probe

AP Wire • Jul 21, 2015 at 1:20 PM

Three pharmacists have pleaded guilty in the scheme and are returning to federal court in November for their sentence. They worked at the Kentwood Pharmacy, also known as Eastgate Pharmacy, in the Grand Rapids suburb of Kentwood.

The owner also had locations in Shepherd, Alma and St. Louis.

The government said pharmacists would recover unused prescription drugs from nursing homes and adult foster homes, mingle them with other drugs, and illegally sell them again. The scheme ran for several years through 2010.

Prosecutors said victims have a right to be heard in court and may be eligible for restitution. They can call 616-808-2034.
