Water boil advisory issued
Jul 21, 2015 at 2:56 PM
Village officials said the break has been repaired, water pressure restored and other remedial actions – such as flushing and collecting samples – has been completed.
Still, residents of Lake Point and Spring Lake condos and area businesses need to take precautionary measures until otherwise notified. Those included in this advisory are the following addresses on West Savidge Street: 507, 601, 801, 807, 813, 821, 823, 901, 903, 909, 915, 917, 951 and 971.
Barrett’s pool, docks and buildings are not served by the West Savidge water main and are not included in the advisory. The rest of Spring Lake Village is also not included in the advisory.
Occupants of the buildings noted should boil all water before drinking or using the water. Businesses using a soda fountain are not to use it until the advisory is lifted, officials said.
The possibility of bacteria being in the lines can happen when there is a loss of water pressure due to a break or leak. When the water pressure is down for a significant period of time, precautionary measures are recommended.
