Historic Home Tour
This year's lineup focuses on historical homes in the Village of Spring Lake and reflects varying styles from Victorian to Colonial and Greek Revival.
There's even a possible “Spirit Revival” home on the tour. The owner of 203 E. Savidge St. reports friendly spirits reside there — an elderly woman and another who likes to move items around in the house.
Tri-Cities Historical Museum Curator of Education Kevin Geary said the homes provide a glimpse into the community's heritage.
“It's important to highlight historic homes because they are an integral part of the fabric of the community,” he said. “It is so important for people to know about the history of their city, and to appreciate and learn from the past.”
