Those tomatoes do look good, even tho they are green house tomatoes, are they organic ?
"Experts" say shop at farmers markets to save money. "Experience" says the prices are about the same as meijers....and meijers is open 24/7.
"Meijer" there is no "s" at the end. Master the name before the prices and hours!
Whose hours? Meijer's hours?
I used to call it Fred's Place but since Fred has died I now call it Dead Fred's. People call it Meijer's because it is owned by the Meijer family. They do have the best produce in this area. I wonder about the farmer's market...if the produce is organic they should have signs telling us so.
Walmart has recently added some organic produce...the organic romaine lettuce is great. What I can't find at Wally World I can usually find at Dead Fred's.
The 'Meijer' comments made me chuckle. Gh4life is correct, it's Meijer, not Meijers. That has always been a pet peeve of mine. We don't say we shop at WalMart's or D&W's but everyone wants to put an 's' on the end of Meijer. It's among my other pet peeves like Sherbert (there is no 'r' in the second syllable), speaking in 3rd person (Soupy hates that) and the improper use of the word 'literally' such as "Sometimes when I read these posts I get so mad I literally explode" (for the record, it's "I figuratively explode." Thus endeth my pet peeve rant of the day. I hope no one is offended because I meant this to be funny!
