Buccaneers open fall practice
The Grand Haven High School football team opened fall practice on Monday at Buccaneer Stadium. After a summer of wickedly hot weather, the temperature was a pleasant 67 when the players took the field at 8 a.m. Football teams can practice without pads for through Wednesday, then can begin full-contact practice with pads on Thursday. All other fall sports teams open practice on Wednesday. The Bucs' football team opens its season at home on Aug. 24 versus Traverse City Central. (Tribune photos/Matt DeYoung)
