Washing cars for Europe
Members of the Grand Haven High School choirs and symphony orchestra washed more than 30 cars and trucks this past Saturday behind Lemon Creek Winery in Grand Haven.
The choir and orchestra students must raise $320,000 for their planned trip to Carnegie Hall and Europe in April 2013.
They'll be washing vehicles every Saturday through Aug. 25 at two locations: behind Lemon Creek Winery at Seventh Street and southbound Beacon Boulevard (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.); and in the parking lot of Dr. Sid Disbrow's office, next to the Coldwell Banker real estate office, off northbound Beacon at Waverly Avenue (noon to 4 p.m.).
