Boy airlifted to Spectrum after near drowning in Lake Mich.
A 13-year-old Grand Rapids boy was pulled from Lake Michigan near the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds late Friday afternoon.
He had been swimming with friends before struggling and going under the water. Emergency personnel performed CPR and the boy was taken by ambulance to North Ottawa Community Hospital. The AeroMed ambulance helicopter was soon called to take him to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
