Mark Brooky • Updated Aug 21, 2017 at 6:25 PM
At its peak in West Michigan, Monday's solar eclipse was at about 80 percent at 2:21 p.m. About 200 people came out to Hemlock Crossing County Park in West Olive to take advantage of seeing it through telescopes with special filters set up by the Holland-based Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association. The club also put on a program in the park's Nature Education Center, led by Frank Roldan.
