With the colder weather on the horizon, the city of Grand Haven is reminding residents that there won't be leaf pick-up service this year due to budget constraints.
"It's one of the things (City Council) came up with to balance the budget to make expenditures equal revenue,' City Manager Pat McGinnis said.
According to McGinnis, the city had about $100,000 budgeted for leaf collection, and he said he anticipates saving $65,000 to $75,000 this year by eliminating the service.
