The members of the Rotary Club of Grand Haven took a new approach to the public service projects they are working on - trading in the brick and mortar for something different in an effort to help young children entering the Grand Haven Area Public Schools system.
Rotary's new fundraising benefit held June 30, "A D'Vine Event,' generated $15,000 for the Grand Haven Schools Foundation.
"In the past, Rotary has picked a real brick-and-mortar type of project,' Grand Haven City Manager Pat McGinnis said.
