A 30-year old Grand Rapids man out on a charter fishing trip on Lake Michigan suffered a medical problem and was brought back to shore by the fishing boat, when it was determined that conditions were too rough to make a transfer.
When three passionate women from the Grand Haven area saw what Lowell High School was able to do to support people in their community with cancer, they set out on a mission to bring something similar to Grand Haven.
As the Coast Guard Festival heats up, more visitors flock to downtown Grand Haven.
