A 31-year-old homeless man was arrested for possession of a stolen car after he was reported acting in a suspicious manner Saturday evening at a Centertown restaurant, said Lt. Joe Boyle of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.

Police are looking for help in solving two break-ins to east-side businesses over the weekend, said Lt. Joe Boyle of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety. Alarms went off at both businesses, possibly keeping any thefts to a minimum, Boyle said.

The effort to have a memorial honoring veterans killed in wars after World War I came to fruition on Monday with the installation of the Fallen Heroes Memorial. Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth Kelly, co-chairman of the fundraising effort to place the memorial at Grand Haven's Central Park, said the installation went as planned.
