City transportation officials are expecting plans for airport terminal expansion to take off in the coming months. Grand Haven Transportation Director Tom Manderscheid said the project is still in the design stage and there is no funding yet awarded for it.

The Grand Haven High School First Robotics team was formed about a year ago, and is now dreaming of a state title. The Buc‘n'Gears team is ranked 24th out of 190 First Robotics teams in Michigan, according to their coach, Chuck Priese.

Loggers used the Grand River as an "expressway" to drive logs to sawmills in villages and cities along the banks of the Grand River. The 1883 log jams in the river above Grand Rapids and above Spring Lake-Grand Haven are the stuff that legends are made of.
