Technology has finally caught up with the vision of two local men hoping to present people with a unique way of interacting with Great Lakes lighthouses. Chris Reynolds and Todd Johnson will introduce the first volume of their work, "Lake Michigan Lights,' on May 31. Volume 1 covers lighthouses from South Haven to Ludington.

More than 175,000 fingerling-size Chinook salmon were deposited into net pens at Grand Haven Municipal Marina on Wednesday afternoon. The net pens, a joint project between the Grand Haven and Grand Rapids chapters of the Steelheaders, significantly increase the success rate of stocking fish into the river, according to Dan O'Keefe of the Michigan Sea Grant.

Work is heating up on projects that are the result of a façade grant provided to the city. The state that is providing Grand Haven with a total of $358,018; while private funds account for $461,968 for work at six properties in downtown, Centertown and Eastown.
