Work is under way to restore the large Chevrolet "bowtie' sign that has shown bright along U.S. 31 on Grand Haven's south side for more than 47 years.

Intermittent lane closures for bridge washing at the U.S. 31 drawbridge over the Grand River will be in place late Sunday and early Monday.
The closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. Sunday to 3 a.m. Monday.
