A 51-year-old Holland woman was hospitalized Tuesday after two vehicles collided at a Holland Township intersection. Sgt. Cal Keuning of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said 18-year-old Zachary VanderHulst was driving east on James Street at 7:15 a.m. when he attempted to turn left onto 104th Avenue. As VanderHulst was making the turn, his vehicle was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by 51-year-old Debra VanTil, who was pinned inside the car, Keuning said.

A Holland woman was injured after she drove her pickup truck into a building Wednesday afternoon, said Sgt. Jon Wolffis of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. Peggy McBride, 66, was taken by ambulance to Holland Hospital after the 12:19 p.m. accident, Wolffis said. She was listed in fair condition today at the hospital.

Three teenagers have admitted to causing more than $25,000 in damage to the football field press box at West Ottawa High School. Sgt. Valerie Weiss of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said tips generated from media reports led deputies to the teenagers. Investigators said the teens broke into the press box on Riley Street sometime Saturday night or Sunday morning. Every window in the press box was broken and the interior windows sustained serious damage. The stadium's sound system was also damaged.

Police are looking for suspects who caused more than $25,000 in damage to West Ottawa High School's football field press box over the weekend. Sgt. Valerie Weiss of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said the damage was discovered Sunday. Police believe someone caused the damage late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Weiss said the vandals destroyed the building's sound equipment and items left inside the press box, and they also smashed all of the windows in the building.

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Holland Township early Sunday. Sgt. Keith Garvelink of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said police were called to the 300 block of Hoover Street at about 1 a.m. on reports of a fight occurring. Upon arrival, Garvelink said officers discovered a 20-year-old Holland man had been stabbed. The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Holland Hospital by AMR ambulance for treatment of his injuries.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will host a musical recital and visual art display on Thursday evening. The church is at the corner of Quincy Street and 112th Avenue in Holland Township. The doors will open at 6 p.m. for the display, followed by a musical performance at 7 p.m. The vocal stylings will include straight opera (Puccini to Gershwin), musical theater and 1930s swing music. The artist mediums represented will include paintings, photography, sculpture, quilting and cross stitch. The event is free and open to the public.

The Holland Kennel Club will hold an AKC-sanctioned "B' match on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Helder Park, 3751 104th Ave. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and judging will start at 10 a.m. The competition will offer conformation classes divided by breed and age, as well as junior showmanship classes. The match is open to dogs and puppies, 3 months and older, that have not been spayed or neutered and possess full AKC registration papers. The entry fee is $8 for conformation and $4 for junior showmanship. A free plush dog toy will be given to each entry.
