Daytime break-ins reported in northern Ottawa County

A series of break-ins have been reported over the last two months in northern Ottawa County and residents are being asked to watch out for any unusual activity in the area. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department is investigating seven incidents which have been reported from the Spring Lake area to Coopersville in the last two months, said Lt. Mark Bennett. Homes have been entered during daytime hours - primarily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. when people are not home, Bennett said. Items targeted include cash, jewelry, televisions and DVD players.
