Police seek tips on robber of Holland Twp. bank

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Fifth Third Bank, 403 Butternut Drive in Holland Township, shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday. The suspect asked about opening a bank account before demanding money and threatening to shoot the teller, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. After taking the money, the suspect ran away to a nearby vehicle. The suspect was described as a black man in his 40s, about 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds. Police said he was wearing a brown shirt with a UPS logo, brown pants, a camouflage hat and sunglasses.

Witnesses said the suspect ran east from the bank toward a small, older black vehicle.
