Churches, golf course targeted by thieves

Police are looking for information related to a series of break-ins and larcenies that have occurred at local churches and a business over the past two weeks. More than $10,000 worth of cash, electronics, computers and small safes were taken from the organizations in Robinson, Grand Haven and Olive townships, said Lt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department. Thieves broke in during the late evening to early morning hours, Bennett said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT, or leave a tip online at www.mosotips.com.

There are no suspects at this time and the incidents remain under investigation, Bennett said.
