Norton Shores man tries to cash stolen scratch-off lottery tickets

(AP) - Authorities said a man burglarized a Muskegon-area gas station, stole dozens of scratch-off lottery tickets and has been trying to cash them in across the state. Norton Shores Police Lt. Jon Gale said the man stole 49 tickets April 21 from a gas station in Norton Shores and his image was captured on surveillance video. Police said the man also took chewing tobacco, cigars and cigarettes. Gale said that same day the man tried to cash stolen tickets at gas stations in the Muskegon area, and has since tried to do the same in Detroit.
