Rain washes out prep events

Grand Haven's varsity baseball game against Spring Lake that was scheduled for this afternoon has been canceled because of the weather. The Buccaneers' junior varsity and freshmen baseball games and junior varsity softball contest have also been called off because of the rain. Spring Lake's varsity boys golfers were supposed to compete in their final Lakes Eight Conference jamboree of the season. That event has been rescheduled for Tuesday at Briar Hill Golf Course in Fremont.

Grand Haven’s regional boys lacrosse contest at Rockford will be played as scheduled, and the West Michigan All-Star track and field meet at Reeths-Puffer is also expected to take place as planned.
