A small plane crashed in a field near the southwestern Michigan community of Marshall on Sunday evening, critically injuring the pilot.
Authorities said the plane spiraled down and crashed west of Brooks Field Airport.
A 59-year-old Marshall man was flying a plane with a glider attached behind it by a cable. The crash in Calhoun County’s Marshall Township happened shortly after the glider was released.
Airport Manager John Riske said a person flying in the glider was unharmed.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
