Michigan fugitive arrested at western N.Y. motel

Authorities said a man charged in a rape investigation in Michigan has been captured in western New York. The Ontario County Sheriff's Department said deputies were tipped off that 42-year-old Timothy Seeman of Manton, Mich., was working at construction project and staying at a motel in Hopewell, 30 miles southeast of Rochester. Officials said Seeman attempted to flee on foot when he was located around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, but was quickly apprehended by deputies. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice and sent to Ontario County Jail without bail.

The Wexford County (Mich.) Sheriff’s Office had issued an arrest warrant for Seeman on charges of rape with a weapon and home invasion.
