Spring Lake suffered a 32-14 loss to Whitehall. Charlie Warber was 3-of-4 passing for 90 yards and a score. Marlin Ingals russhed for 133 yards, and Ross Sullivan recovered a fumble and also had an interception. Jacob Fredrick made 15 stops for the Lakers.
Freshmen
Grand Haven edged Hudsonville, 14-8. The Bucs’ defense was outstanding, led by the play of Thompson McWatters, Joe Sepeshy and Hunter Coats.
Spring Lake fell to Fruitport on Thursday, 20-12. Mark Williamson was the Lakers’ leading rusher, accounting for both Spring Lake touchdowns. Defensive standouts included Devon Eldred, Ben Winsemius and Noah Novakoski. The Lakers are now 3-2.
