“I am extremely proud of the way our girls ran tonight,” Lakers’ coach Aaron Andres said. “I know the score shows we finished second in this race, but I believe it was one of our strongest performances of the season. Anybody who knows cross country has heard of Branstrom Park and how difficult of a course it is. Some say it’s the toughest in the state.”

Lakers’ junior Brittney Beeler was the overall race winner with a time of 20 minutes, 3 seconds. Sophomore Ashley Warner was fifth, followed by sophomore Jamie Kossuth in seventh. All three earned first-team all-conference honors.
