Authorities: 2 teens dead, 2 injured in crash

Police said two teenagers died and two others were injured after two vehicles crashed in southern Michigan.

Police said the crash happened Monday afternoon in Branch County’s Bethel Township, about 80 miles southeast of Grand Rapids. The four were believed to be students at nearby Bronson High School.

Police said two boys died after a Ford Mustang hit a tree and two girls were injured when a sport utility vehicle went off the road. One girl was hospitalized in critical condition and one was in fair condition.

The crash happened after classes finished for the day at Bronson High School.

Bronson Community Schools said in a statement posted on the district’s website that grief counseling would be available today.
