SL swim cruises past struggling Ludington

Ludington used to be a powerhouse in boys swimming, but a drop in participation numbers on the Orioles' varsity squad hasn't made them a formidable foe recently in the Coastal Conference for Spring Lake.

The Lakers proved that again on Thursday, as they mixed up their lineup and still produced an easy 95-73 victory at the Spring Lake Aquatic Center that could have been a more lopsided score if not for four events being scored as exhibitions.

“Our guys were able to swim different events and they seemed to like being able to try something new in a race situation,” said Spring Lake coach Penny Zacek.
