Nobody hurt in Ferrysburg car fire

Firefighters were called to the scene at about 7:30 a.m. and found the car fully ablaze.

Olthof said the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis was northbound on the highway when the driver lost power and pulled off to the ramp. She was able to exit the car before the fire destroyed the vehicle.

Damage was estimated at $3,000, Olthof said.
