"But it's progress, you know," he said, as he sat in a lawn chair watching crews work on the bridge being build over North Cedar Drive on Thursday. "They do need (a bridge) around Grand Haven."
Alman, his friend Betty Bewalda, and his former neighbor, Marlene Moll, watched as workers spanned North Cedar Drive with six giant beams.
