“It’s a great event and we come here every year,” West Olive resident Peter Liken said. “We don’t mind spending the money for good food and a good cause.”
In its third year, the event benefited a fund set up for families of veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Event chairwoman Kristen Rappleye said she didn’t have a set goal they wanted to raise, and were just hoping to get “whatever we can bring in.”
Liken was at the event with his wife, Kathy.
“It’s a great opportunity for the community to get together and socialize, and the money is going to a wonderful cause,” she said. “And it’s good exposure for the local restaurants.”
