VFW fundraiser attracts 300

"It's a great event and we come here every year," West Olive resident Peter Liken said. "We don't mind spending the money for good food and a good cause."

In its third year, the event benefited a fund set up for families of veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

About $2000 was raised and it will go toward a food truck that the VFW will be providing to the Grand Haven community and to local area Afghanistan and Iraq veterans.
