M-104 lane closures start next week

Motorists will have to deal with daytime lane closures on Savidge Street beginning Monday through mid-May.

The Michigan Department of Transportation will be doing $500,000 of sidewalk work from Lake Avenue west to the channel bridge in front of the Holiday Inn.

The project also includes nighttime resurfacing from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday.

Both shoulders will be closed throughout construction.
