It will take place in Program Room A from noon to 4 p.m.
Gardenfest will provide children with hands-on learning experiences in the areas of gardening, planting, composting and tasting of free foods — in order to teach them about the benefits of proper nutrition. The kids will learn skills to help themselves, their families and their community, today and in the future.
This is a free community event, with raffle money benefiting the local United Way and Spread the Music Foundation. Other activities will include information and demonstrations of Tower Gardens, a Zumba class from 10-11:30 a.m. (suggested donation of $5), nutritional information, prizes for the family and music by Lew Russ.
